The Peak District, Britain's first national park

The Peak District lies mainly in North Derbyshire, but also covers parts of Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, and South & West Yorkshire. It's an area of great diversity and is divided into the northern Dark Peak, where most of the moorland and gritstone is found, and the southern White Peak, where the geology is mainly limestone based. Birchover is just within the White Peak and stands amidst magnificent rock scenery on a west facing hillside beneath the towering bulk of Stanton Moor.

The Peak District offers stunning scenery to ramble, cycle or horse ride through. From the pine clad slopes of the Upper Derwent Valley to meandering limestone dales like Dovedale, the landscape provides endless opportunities for exploration, relaxation or just simply to have fun.
